Tanzania Crater, Migration & Island Getaway

Day 1 : Arusha

Pick your luggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall after arriving in Kilimanjaro and completing immigration and customs formalities.
An Alluring Africa representative will greet you and take you on a private road transfer to Legendary Lodge, where you will spend one night.

If time permits, have lunch and participate in an afternoon activity.

Day 2 : Ngorongoro Crater

You will be picked up by a Luxsafa tours and travel representative for your private road transfer to the Arusha Airport for your scheduled charter flight to Lake Manyara at a time to be determined.
You will be picked up by a camp vehicle and transported to & Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, where you will spend two nights.

If time permits, have lunch and participate in an afternoon activity.

Day 3 : Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy one full day of game viewing activities at and Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.

The Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World. As the largest unbroken un-flooded caldera in the world the Ngorongoro Crater is 19km long by 16km wide by 1km deep. This truly magical place is home to Olduvai Gorge, where the remains of a 1.8 million year old skeleton was discovered. The Ngorongoro Crater and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are without a doubt some of the most beautiful parts of Tanzania.

You can do an early morning game drive in an open to 4×4, and try and see an early morning kill and see the hippos meandering in to the hippo pool. You have the opportunity to pre-order your breakfast the day before so you can take it in to the crater, or you can come back to the lodge for breakfast. You can also participate in an afternoon game drive to see the lions basking in the sun.

You will descend into the crater through a lush highland forest, with magnificent birdlife to be spotted among the different tree species. Once on the grassy crater floor, you may discover a large variety of grazing herbivores, as well as the predators that are attracted by this abundant supply of prey. Depending on the time of year, you may see huge flocks of pink flamingo around the shores of the shallow Lake Magadi, while the surrounding swamp is inhabited by hippo.

Day 4 : Singita Serengeti Grumeti

You will be picked up by a Luxsafa tour and travel representative for your road transfer to the Lake Manyara Airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to the Sasakwa Airstrip at a time to be determined. You will be picked up by a camp vehicle upon arrival and transported by road to Singita Faru Faru Lodge, where you will spend three nights.

If time permits, have lunch and participate in an afternoon activity.

Days 5 – 6 : Singita Serengeti Grumeti

Enjoy two full days of game viewing activities at Singita Faru Faru Lodge.

Daily game drives with professional guides provide the perfect opportunity to get up close to Africa’s incredible animals, while evening drives reveal the elusive magic of nocturnal Africa. You are likely to spot a great variety of wildlife, including cheetah, bearded wildebeest, Bat Eared fox, Maasai giraffe, lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and the rare Colobus monkey.

Walking safaris are an incredible way to experience the bush up close and personal. Your expert guide and tracker will accompany you as you track animals on foot through the wilderness and explore the magnificent plants and landscapes around you.

In your leisure time, spa treatments can be booked (additional cost). The peaceful lodge spa, where nature provides its own special calm, present the ultimate escape, sure to restore equilibrium and peace to body and mind.

Day 7 : Mnemba Island

At a time to be determined, a camp vehicle will transport you to the Sasakwa Airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, collect your luggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall after completing immigration and customs formalities.

Here you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative and transferred to the jetty where you will board the boat which will take you to Mnemba Island Lodge, where you will stay for three nights.

Time permitting, enjoy lunch and an afternoon activity.

Days 8 – 10 : Mnemba Island

Mnemba Island offers three full days of events.

Diverse pelagic fish and marine mammals flourish in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, while the coral reefs surrounding Mnemba island are home to a wide range of reef fish, anemones, and other marine specimens. In the ocean waters, humpback whales, dolphins of various sizes, sharks, and various types of rays can be found.

Snorkeling is ideal for those who do not wish to do a scuba diving accreditation but who want to confidently explore the shallower coral reefs, situated off Mnemba Island, with the help of a snorkel. A guided snorkeling course is also available at an additional cost, offered by andBeyond’s Mnemba Island specialist dive masters, and covers safety procedures, equipment, currents and suggested snorkeling spots.

Day 11 : End of Itinerary

You will be picked up by a Luxsafa tours and travel representative at a time to be determined for your road transfer to the Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro, where you will communicate with your departure flight.
